Method
Source: DataSF Law Enforcement Dispatched Calls for Service: Real-Time (gnap-fj3t ), read from the city's feed when this page loads. The city publishes the feed every ten minutes with about a ten-minute lag, so a call can take twenty minutes or more to appear; it holds calls that closed in the last 48 hours plus any still open.
Calls shown are dispatched to SFPD and not marked sensitive by the city; officer-initiated (on-view) calls are hidden unless the box is ticked. Response time is the city's measure, call received to first unit on scene; a call with no on-scene time yet shows as open.
The 12-week medians beside the 48-hour figures come from the rest of this site, computed the same way, and medians are never pooled across priorities.
A call's incident report, when one has been filed and approved under its CAD number, comes from the Police Incident Reports dataset (wg3w-h783 ), which loads each morning with reports approved through the day before. A CAD number that has aged out of the real-time feed is looked up in the Closed dataset (2zdj-bwza ).
Locations are the city's anonymized intersections. Dispositions are recorded by the closing officer and described by the city as informational.
